The latest #1 single from the Zac Brown Band was actually the fifth song to be released from the very popular 2008 album The Foundation .

Free has been taking it’s time moving up the country charts, but the slow and steady pace has finally arrived at the final destination, number one on the charts.

The Foundation album has put the Zac Brown Band firmly in the mind of country fans and even helped the songwriter to win the 2010 Grammy Award as the Best New Artist.

Zac and the boys have a new album scheduled for release on September 21st, 2010 and they are doing a lot promotion for anyone looking to buy the tracks before the announced date on the ZacBrownBand.com website. The latest is called “You Get What You Give” and has him teaming up with Alan Jackson on one song and Jimmy Buffett on another.

This Past week The Grammy Awards announced some of the nominees and of course as you could figure out, Taylor Swift was nominated all over the place. She has plenty of chances to win after her record smashing year of 2009.

The Fearless album was the top seller, with her solid country following and crossover popularity with the pop music crowd, has made her into a record selling and award winning machine. To be honest, Taylor has worked hard and probably deserves all of the attention she is getting, but even the country sweetheart could not have seen how far and how fast she has come in the music industry at this point in her career.

Hopefully Kayne West is nowhere to be found if and when Taylor gets on stage to except an award. She is expected to perform as well the Zac Brown Band, who has been nominated three times, and Lady Antebellum who also has been nominated in the country music category.

The 52nd GRAMMY Awards will take place live on Sunday, Jan. 31, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be telecast on the CBS Television Network from 8–11:30 p.m. This is billed as the biggest night in music, and has all of the top selling music artists in the industry. The show has been trying to get more country music and performers involved, and each year it seems to growing.

In a recent revealing interview with USAWeekend.com – Zac Brown got a chance to talk about his life, and the fact that he enjoys cooking, and also that singer/songwriter James Taylor was the largest influence in his life when it came to music.

With the current hit – Whatever It Is - making the steady climb up the Country Top 20, the Georgia native has his 2nd top country song with the Zac Brown Band. Chicken Fried was a #1 country song in 2008, and the next release from their Gold certified album – The Foundation - is expected soon, and you can expect that – Toes – will be spending some time on the country charts since many of his loyal fans seem to have already made it a favorite in their ipod players.
