What has long been rumored about the relationship of Leann Rimes and husband Dean Sheremet has finally come true, and the country singer told a concert crowd at the Deer Valley Music Festival in Utah about the heartbreak of seperating from a partner, and many fans close to the stage noticed the country artist did not have her wedding ring on.

Also reported this week was that her co-star from the Northern Lights movie – Eddie Cibrian, had also announced his seperation from wife - Brandi Glanville. The two were reported making out with each other in March, and both denied the reports, but there were too many witnesses to the couple dating to dismiss the reports.

When the 135th Kentucky Derby is run on May 2nd, this will be the first time they will have the U.S. National Anthem sang as part of the ceremonies.
Churchill Downs has chosen Leann Rimes to sing the “Star Spangled Banner” and this will be part of the presentation from NBC when they broadcast the Kentucky Derby on the first Saturday in May.

The Grammy award winning Leann Rimes seems to be adding new events to her resume all the time, and is a good choice by Churchill Downs to have the talented singer to be the first to perform the National Anthem at the Louisville, Kentucky Race Track.

For the music fans that watched the 2009 ACM Awards show, and did not know the top country artists, were rewarded with the best of the best in modern country music. After an opening medley of top performers, Reba McEntire took over as The Master of Ceromonies, and once again did a skillful job of telling jokes and keeping the show moving, later on she sang her new song – Strange, that seemed to be a hit with the audience.

As the awards were being given out, it was obvious that the girls of country have made a large impact on the awards show, Taylor Swift was part of a magic trick, played the piano and guitar, and helped start the show in the eight performer opener, by the way she also won Album of the Year for Fearless.

Carrie Underwood won the big prize as Entertainer of the Year, and also captured the Top Female Singer of the Year. Carrie’s rendition of I Told You So, was almost overshadowed by her enormous Russet Ballgown.

Jennifer Nettles shined throughout the night when the talented singer was asked to perform three times, and also won the Top Vocal Duo as part of Sugarland.

Julianne Hough was named as the Top New Female Vocalist. Leann Rimes was awarded the Home Depot Humanitarian Award in recognition of “all the time and effort and passion she devotes to many charitable organizations.”

Of course the men of country won their share of awards, but it seemed to be ladies night out at ACM Awards in 2009. Here is a full list of the winners from the April 5, 2009 ACM show.

The gifted country songwriter and singer Leann Rimes will be on the Lifetime TV series that is showcasing some of the Nora Roberts romance novels. Leanne will be acting along side Eddie Cibrian, and this is a great pairing of talent, her episode – Northern Lights will be shown March 21.

Leann and Eddie have been romantically linked in all the magazines, and there is even a video from US Magazine of what is suppose to be the two getting together in a restaurant and kissing, and this has not been denied or confirmed by Leann Rimes yet, but she has made a statement on her Official Website. Eddie has officially denied all the rumours and has stated it is all fabricated. Only time will tell, but Leanne Rimes has always been open with her fans, and she will tell her side of the story when she is ready.

This month has been an interesting and revealing time for Leann Rimes, between selling her Nashville Home and also announcing her Life Long Battle with Psoriasis, and including the Country Music Stars current tour that will continue into 2009, Leann sure has been busy.
