2010 Grammys Have Plenty Of Country Flavor
This Past week The Grammy Awards announced some of the nominees and of course as you could figure out, Taylor Swift was nominated all over the place. She has plenty of chances to win after her record smashing year of 2009.
The Fearless album was the top seller, with her solid country following and crossover popularity with the pop music crowd, has made her into a record selling and award winning machine. To be honest, Taylor has worked hard and probably deserves all of the attention she is getting, but even the country sweetheart could not have seen how far and how fast she has come in the music industry at this point in her career.
Hopefully Kayne West is nowhere to be found if and when Taylor gets on stage to except an award. She is expected to perform as well the Zac Brown Band, who has been nominated three times, and Lady Antebellum who also has been nominated in the country music category.
The 52nd GRAMMY Awards will take place live on Sunday, Jan. 31, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be telecast on the CBS Television Network from 8–11:30 p.m. This is billed as the biggest night in music, and has all of the top selling music artists in the industry. The show has been trying to get more country music and performers involved, and each year it seems to growing.

Lady Antebellum Flying High With Need You Now
As if being named the Vocal Group Of The Year and winning the Single Of The Year at the 43rd Annual Country Music Awards wasn’t enough, for the second staight week Lady Antebellum remains on top of the Country Music Charts. Their hit song “Need You Now” took the long and steady road to get to the top, and now has a hold on the No.1 spot.
Band members Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott formed the band in 2006 after they all had the same dream of making it in the country music scene and had made contact thru their MySpace pages.
This is the threesome’s second top country song of 2009, after “I Run To You” made it to No. 1 position after being released from their platinum selling debut album “Lady Antebellum“.
The second album from the band is not scheduled to be available to the public until January 26, 2010, and with there already being a number one hit on the new tracks from the country songwriters, you can expect there to be a huge demand.
Lady Antebellum will be taking a small break from touring until Feburary 2010 when the band will fire up the buses and making a large trek across the country that will include meet and greets with their fans.

Lady Antebellum Tops Country Charts
It has taken some time, but the single – I Run To You - has topped out as the No. 1 country single, and the band – Lady Antebellum – watched as the third hit from the self named album Lady Antebellum has been on the Billboard country charts, and has produced the first No. 1 song in the bands short career.
With two other top 20 songs with from the first album, the band now has a hit in 2007 with – Love Don’t Live Here – another in 2008 with the single – Lookin For A Good Time – and in 2009 with I Run To You. You can expect a new album in the future, but the band is still riding the wave of the three hit wonder album, and this is quite unusual to have a CD produce three hits in seperate years, this only goes to show the popularity of the band, and the staying power of their music.
Lady Antebellum is part of the Sun City Carnival With Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert, and you can get a chance to see the band live as they tour the country the rest of this Summer. They are also playing shows on their own at different venues, as the band now has the ability to play on their own as the headliner.
Lady Antebellum Tour Runs To You
Lady Antebellum has broken into the Country Top 20 Songs again with their current single – I Run To You, and the band is part of the monster – Sun City Carnival tour with Kenney Chesney and Miranda Lambert that kicked off this weekend in Las Vegas.
There is a debate among country fans whether the band that formed in Nashville is actually pure country, But the way country fans have supported the band thru ticket sales and album purchases, should help sway the vote of non-supporters into believing that most country music fans believe that in fact – Lady Antebellum is country, and as long as they continue to produce top country song hits, the record companies will also look at them as country artists.
Tell us how you feel about Lady Antebellum, are they a country band or are they another one of the new country/pop music artists that have been making their way into country music?

Lady Antebellum On Tour With Kenny Chesney
Looks like Lady Antebellum has finally made the big time, and will spend the better part of 2009 on tour with Kenny Chesney. The cities and dates have not been set, but the combination of Lady Antebellum first, Miranda Lambert in the middle, and Kenny Chesney closing, should be one of the top selling concerts this year.
The “The Sun City Carnival Tour” is what has been chosen for this road trip, and the official announcement should be made soon.
