Kenny Chesney and Steve Miller To Perform Together
Country superstar Kenny Chesney has been teamed up with one of the all time rock music performers in Steve Miller. The two singers are getting together for a show on Country Music Televisions Crossroads. The episode is scheduled for later this year, possibly as soon as April, and this is Kenny’s second time on the show.
Steve Miller has performed in the past with the modern country legend, and the two have mutual respect for each other. Many artist’s have covered the rock classics “The Joker”, “Keep On Rockin’ Me”, and “Fly Like An Eagle” and you can expect that these hit songs will be covered by the duo.
As always Kenny Chesney has a busy year mapped out for himself this year. He is re-releasing his Greatest Hits 2 with a couple of new songs that include the current single “Ain’t Back Yet” that jumped right into the Billboard country music charts. He has also planned a new album release for the fall, and is currently working on the tracks.
April 21st is the date that you can get your hands on the Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3-D DVD, and for those that have an iPhone, you can get an app that supplies you with all of the Kenny Chesney information up to date that you could possibly want.
There is also a buzz that he wants to perform at the halftime show of the Super Bowl, and will be making a push all year long to get his name out to whoever picks the performers for the N.F.L. championship game.

Kenny Chesney Having A Ball
As usual Kenny Chesney seems to find his way into the Top Country Song Music charts, and with the latest single – Out Last Night - this is where the fun loving country artist is again. The song is probably not far off the lifestyle the singer lives, as Kenny Chesney has been known to have a good time. He recently did an Interview with Playboy Magazine, that confirms his wild at heart life.
This Summer you can catch the Kenny Chesney Sun City Carnival Tour with Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum as it travels around the U.S and Canada. Tickets have been selling out as soon as they get released, and more dates are expected to be announced as the tour buses travel along and the band performs some of their top country songs of 2009.
Country Music and Oprah Winfrey Special
The popularity of Country music has been growing steadily, and now it seems the current generation of new artists have made their way into the pop charts, so naturally the biggest names in entertainment want to associate themselves with the top country songwriters and performers. Oprah Winfrey has always been a supporter of country music, and now she has dedicated a one hour show to the country music industry.
The show is expected to have some great behind the scenes video of the performers as they get ready for shows, or are just hanging around. The artists that are on the show will be Sugarland and Darius Rucker, who have already confirmed this on their websites, and also Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood. The stars will be doing interviews with Oprah, and are also expected to perform some of their hit songs.
The Country Music and Oprah Special will be aired April 14, and you can check for the time of the show to air in your area by visiting the Oprah Winfrey Local Listings webpage…………….

Kenny Chesney Tops Money List In Country Music
We all know that Kenny Chesney is a very successful singer-songwriter and performer, and when Billboard released their list of the top money making performers, Kenny was number 6 and had earned over $90 million for 2008. Taylor Swift came in at the number 16 position, earning over $45 million, and that was without even being the headline act. Expect Taylor Swift to make more than she did in 2008, as she has a big tour scheduled, and is currently the sweetheart of country music, with many top songs and a huge following.
Kenny Chesney has always been charitable with his money, and has done shows, given away tickets, and donated signed guitars for deserving charities. Right now he is not married, and would be a nice catch for a lucky girl, last reported he was dating former Miss Tennessee – Amy Colley.
With the Sun City Carnival Tour 2009 expected to be as successful as this past year’s tour, you can anticipate that Kenny Chesney will be back on this years top money making list again……………

Another Look At The Grammy’s For Country Performers
Country Music had a large showing at the 2009 Grammy’s, and came away with the Best Album of the Year in “Raising Sand” from Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. Here is a look at who played @ The Staples Center……Keith Urban spent his time on the Grammy’s backing up legend Al Green and pop favorite Justin Timberlake, he also sat in on a jam session with Blues master B.B. King.
Carrie Underwood came out with “Last Name”, which is a bit of a rocker for the country sweetheart. Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus joined together for an acoustic version of “Fifteen” as her band stood quietly below the stage and backed up the duo.
Kenny Chesney was alone and was spotlighted for his singing of “Better as a Memory”, and country favorites Sugarland had the stage all to themselves for “Stay”. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss decided to do a medley of “Gone, Gone, Gone” and” “Please Read The Letter” with T-Bone Burnett on Guitar.
Here is a video and the lyrics of the Grammy Award winning song “Please Read The Letter”……………..
Caught out running
With just a little too much to hide
Maybe baby
Everything’s gonna turn out fine
Please read the letter
I nailed it to your door
It’s crazy how it all turned out
We needed so much more
Once I put beside you a well of many words
My house was full of rings and
Charms and pretty birds
Please understand me
My walls came falling down
There’s nothing here that’s left for you
But check with lost and found
Ahhhhhhhh…………
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
One more song, just before we go
Remember baby
You gonna reap
Just what you sow
Please read my letter
And promise me you’ll keep
The secrets and the memories
We cherish in the deep
Please read the letter
I nailed it to your door
It’s Crazy how it all turned out
We needed so much more
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
