Sugarland – Live On The Inside ABC Special

For all of the Sugarland fans that want to get a closer look at the band, you can watch the band perform on their ABC Special August 3rd, and then have a chance to buy the DVD the next day at Wal-Mart.

Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush have had a run of hits lately, and when the band has played this Summer, they have had sold out shows. Jennifer did have to cancel and postpone some concerts because of throat problems and exhaustion, but this is what happens when you become a top selling country act.

The bands current hit – It Happens – has been on the charts for awhile, and while many people know her from Sugarland, the History of Jennifer Nettles shows that the Georgia native has paid her dues in the Country Music industry, and is well deserved of all of the good fortune that has come her way.

Having the ability to have fun on stage is not something that all performers seem to be able to do, but when you see Jennifer on stage, it is obvious the girl enjoys what she does, and wants her audience to have as much fun as she is. Sugarland Having a Sweet Time

Things are going well these days for singer Jennifer Nettles and guitarist Kristian Bush, after their performance on the ACM Awards last week, and the Oprah show this week, the band has been nominated for the Duo of the Year, and for Video of the Year by Country Music Television for their award show scheduled for June 17.

Sugarland has a long Summer ahead of touring that includes joining Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban as supporting acts for their concerts, and getting fans to buy tickets should not be a problem for the band from Georgia, as it seems that whenever they release a new song it makes it into the Country Top 20, like the current hit single – It Happen’s.

Jennifer Nettles was just listed on People’s magazine best dressed list, and was part of a posing party after the ACM show with the rest of the artist, and is really making a name for herself in the Entertainment Industry.

Girls Night Out at the 2009 ACM Awards

For the music fans that watched the 2009 ACM Awards show, and did not know the top country artists, were rewarded with the best of the best in modern country music. After an opening medley of top performers, Reba McEntire took over as The Master of Ceromonies, and once again did a skillful job of telling jokes and keeping the show moving, later on she sang her new song – Strange, that seemed to be a hit with the audience.

As the awards were being given out, it was obvious that the girls of country have made a large impact on the awards show, Taylor Swift was part of a magic trick, played the piano and guitar, and helped start the show in the eight performer opener, by the way she also won Album of the Year for Fearless.

Carrie Underwood won the big prize as Entertainer of the Year, and also captured the Top Female Singer of the Year. Carrie’s rendition of I Told You So, was almost overshadowed by her enormous Russet Ballgown.

Jennifer Nettles shined throughout the night when the talented singer was asked to perform three times, and also won the Top Vocal Duo as part of Sugarland.

Julianne Hough was named as the Top New Female Vocalist. Leann Rimes was awarded the Home Depot Humanitarian Award in recognition of “all the time and effort and passion she devotes to many charitable organizations.”

Of course the men of country won their share of awards, but it seemed to be ladies night out at ACM Awards in 2009. Here is a full list of the winners from the April 5, 2009 ACM show.

Sugarland’s – “Already Gone” New #1 Song This Week

When the new top 40 Country Songs is released next weekend “Sugarland” will be the new #1 band. The Atlanta based band has made the steady climb to the top and with their hit song “Already Gone” have become favorites among many country fans.

With the popularity of Sugarlands music, it was nice to see singer Jennifer Nettles asked to perform at the star studded Inaugural Celebration for President Barack Obama, that will also include Garth Brooks and Miley Cyrus, among many others.
