Carrie Underwood 2008 Tour to Finish at Grand Ole Opry
After a very successful 2008 for Carrie Underwood, the long road will be ending at the Grand Old Opry, where she was inducted this past May. The “Carnival Ride Tour” was a large step forward, and her first as the Headlining Act.
The 2005 “American Idol” Winner has seen her music make a large crossover into the general pop music culture, much like the rest of Country music has this decade, and seems destined to continue her success.
With her busy tour this year and being the Host of the 2008 Country Music Awards, Carrie is headed towards a short break after her performance on Tuesday Night Dec. 16 at the well documented and all-time country venue Ryman Auditorium. You can watch a one-hour portion of the show Dec. 20 on Great American Country’s “Opry Live,” for more Information you can go to the Grand Ole Opry website.

Carrie Underwood & Little Big Town Kick Off Fall Tour
Carrie Underwood starts the fall leg of her tour in Cleveland today and she is bringing along Little Big Town as the opening act.
Little Big Town is planning to relaunch it’s third album “A Place To Land” on Octboer 14th with four new songs.
The tour provides Little Big Town with an opportunity to showcase its unique talents to 10000 or more people every night.
Band member Karen Fairchild said, “This is gonna be the best light show we’ve ever had as a band”
“Carrie was gracious enough to give us all of these incredible moving lights. It’s just gonna be fun. When you’re an opening act or a middle act on tour, you’re not using full production all the time. But this is a lot of production for us, being it’s just us and Carrie on this tour. It’s been great. She’s been great already to work with”.
Carrie Underwood and Little Big Town will take a break from the tour on November 12th for the 42nd Country Music Association awards. Both acts are both double nominees at the awards.
