The Big Valley Jamboree held in Camrose, Alberta ended when heavy winds caused the stage to collapse, and unfortunately caused the death of at least one person, and injured others. Billy Currington was on stage when the incident happened, and one of his band members was reported to have a broken arm. Kevin Costner and his band Modern West were ready to go on stage as the next act and got caught underneath the stage as it collapsed, but did not sustain any serious injuries.

The officials said they little warning of the weather event, and were in the middle of clearing the stage to tell everyone to get shelter when the heavy winds hit.

Billy Currington is set to release his third album “Little Bit of Everything” on October 14th. Currington was signed to Mercury Nashville Records in 2003.

His 2003 debut album “Billy Currington” and 2005 album “Doin’ Somethin’ Right” produced five singles on the Billboard Hot Country chart including the number one hits “Good Directions” and “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right”.

Currington has co-produced the third album with Carson Chamberlain and he also co-wrote five of the 12 songs.
