Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn have posted a short and to the point message on their website saying that the popular country duo have decided to split once they finish The Last Rodeo tour in 2010.

The two singers have said to not listen to any rumors you may have heard about them, they say that it is just time to go their seperate ways.

Brooks & Dunn have had over twenty #1 country songs, and a review of the recording history of Brooks & Dunn show that the duo have had many other top 20 country songs, and are not afraid to record with other country artists.

The release of their latest album – #1′s . . . And Then Some is scheduled for September 8th, and the first single – Indian Summer – has already become another top twenty song for the songwriters.

Both Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn had success as single acts in the 1980′s, and they might want to try their luck at not being together again, or then again this may just be time for the duo to hang up their guitars and enjoy having time off from touring and recording. When the final tour ends next year, we should know more about the plans of Brooks & Dunn.
