Keith Urban’s publicist Paul Freundlich, has confirmed that Urban has a slipped disc.

Urban gave indications of a possible injury during a recent concert on Saturday night in Kelseyville, California.

However, Urban’s publicist has stated that his performance schedule will not be affected.

Urban is set to travel to Canada to headline the “Country Rocks” Festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Saturday August 30th.

Urban is also scheduled to perform in New York City on September 5th at two events.

The first is the Fashion Rocks concert with Chris Brown, Black Eyed Peas, Beyoncé, Duffy, Justin Timberlake and Kid Rock amongst others. The event is set to take place at Radio City Music Hall and will be taped for a CBS special which will air on September 9th.

The second event is the NFL Kickoff Show with R&B star Usher. This is set to take place in Columbus Circle with an estimated crowd of 70,000.

New American Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi has written songs like Carrie Underwood’s “Sometimes You Leave” and Faith Hill’s “Lost”.

Grammy nominated songwriter DioGuardi will act as a fourth judge on what will be the eighth season of American Idol. American Idol will also feature the regular judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul.

“I’m just gonna speak to Simon the way I speak to everybody” DioGuardi told reporters during a teleconference. “I’m just gonna have my opinion, be honest and I don’t foresee any problems. I’m really excited about this, and up for the challenge.”

Dierks Bentley’s new song, “Sweet & Wild” enters the country singles chart at number 51.
