Country superstar Kenny Chesney has been teamed up with one of the all time rock music performers in Steve Miller. The two singers are getting together for a show on Country Music Televisions Crossroads. The episode is scheduled for later this year, possibly as soon as April, and this is Kenny’s second time on the show.

Steve Miller has performed in the past with the modern country legend, and the two have mutual respect for each other. Many artist’s have covered the rock classics “The Joker”, “Keep On Rockin’ Me”, and “Fly Like An Eagle” and you can expect that these hit songs will be covered by the duo.

As always Kenny Chesney has a busy year mapped out for himself this year. He is re-releasing his Greatest Hits 2 with a couple of new songs that include the current single “Ain’t Back Yet” that jumped right into the Billboard country music charts. He has also planned a new album release for the fall, and is currently working on the tracks.

When Keith Urban heads out on the road this year for his Summer tour, he will have the full support of the Grammy Awards behind him. The New Zealand born country singer was the winner for the third time in six years in the Best Male Country Vocal Performance category.

His hit song “Sweet Thing” won the award on the 2010 show, his previous winners were for “Stupid Boy” in 2008, and for “You”ll Think Of Me” from the 2006 Grammys. He is offering the chance to meet him as he tours across the globe if you join the Monkeyville club and enter the contest on his website.

Keith Urban’s current album “Defying Gravity” was his first album to reach #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart, and shows how popular he is when it reached the top position. The CD is well on it’s way to selling over 1 million copies by the end of the year.

So far Keith has booked all of the top country Fairs and Festivals for 2010, and he has yet to name his opening act, but you can guess it will be a top, up and coming band. It looks as if Clay Walker may have another big time country hit with his current single She Won’t Be Lonely Long. The song has been getting a lot of airtime on the country stations and has the type of melody that is very catchy, and at the same time tells a story that many music fans can relate to.

Clay Walker has been writing top country songs ever since his first two #1 hits in 1993, What’s It To You and Live Until I Die, and he has continued to produce hits.

Georgia native Jason Aldean just kicked off his tour Wide Open this past weekend in support of his current album, and the timing could not have been better, as he has his third #1 song The Truth from the Wide Open album.

The other two chart toppers “Big Green Tractor” and “She’s Country” were some of the biggest hits in 2009, and the momentum has not stopped for the country songwriter. It looks like a lot of the shows for the current tour are selling out as fast as they are getting released. As well as things as have been going for the singer, this may end up being the biggest in his recording career that started in 2005 with the hit “Hicktown“.

With her top 20 Country hit White Liar getting plenty of airtime, Miranda Lambert has been heating up the charts in 2010, and the country songwriter has been nominated for her song Dead Flowers in the Best Female Country Vocal Performance at the Grammy Awards.

White Liar is at #4 this week and is the highest charting song of her career. She said she is hoping that her fans will keep requesting the single so it can make it to #1. Miranda is currently on the road performing and has been with the opening act for Brad Paisley.
