Taylor Swift is ‘Fearless’ on Country Billboards
Taylor Swift woke up yesterday to find out the album ‘Fearless’ was #1 on the Billboard Country album charts.
“I found out about my album going to No. 1 when my mom woke me up this morning,” Swift said Wednesday. “The final numbers are beyond my wildest dreams — I never expected this!”
As of this week she has 6 songs in the top 100 including the Current #1 Hit ‘Love Story’ and seems destined to have more chart toppers.

Tim McGraw Hosting Saturday Night Live Nov. 22nd
Tim McGraw to host ‘Saturday Night Live’ on November 22. He will be joining a short list of country stars, including Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton, to host the show.
McGraw’s hits include “Live Like You Were Dying,” “Where the Green Grass Grows” and his latest, “Let It Go.”
This comes as good timing to help support his upcoming holiday movie “Four Christmases,” due out later this month.

Kenny Chesney Repeats as CMA’s Entertainer of the Year
The Country Music Association Once again awarded Kenny Chesney as the Entertainer of the year trophy at Wednesday night’s (Nov. 12) awards show in Nashville, Shania Twain (whom looked absolutely beautiful) handed the award to the winner. Along the way, George Strait, Brad Paisley and Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles received two awards each at the 42nd annual CMA Awards.
Other winners included Carrie Underwood (female vocalist), Lady Antebellum (new artist) and Rascal Flatts (vocal group). Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant and Alison Krauss topped the musical competition for their collaboration on “Gone, Gone, Gone.”

Brad Paisley Releases New Album “Play”
Brad Paisley will probably make some large sales with his new album “Play”.
The country guitarist lets his instrument take front stage with some nice solo’s and some duet performances.
Although this is an instrumental album with Legends like B.B. King, Keith Urban, and Steve Wariner, there is also some vocal tracks which makes this a nice addition to any music fans collection.
Brad Paisley is currently on tour and is perfoming some classics and new songs.

Jewel Announces Solo Tour Dates
Jewel is will be on tour by herself to Showcase her first country album, “Perfectly Clear,” which was introduced this year on June 3. Keeping her sense for storytelling but introducing a new sound, the debut album rose to No. 1 on the country charts and hit No. 8 on the Billboard Charts.
The soft-voiced singer believes this will help her communicate her stories to her fans. “I really enjoy performing acoustically” said Jewel in a statement on her Web site. “It gives me the chance to tell the stories behind my songs and connect with the fans in an intimate setting.”

Reba McEntire to host 2009 ACM Awards
Reba McEntire will host the annual Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards ceremony for the Eleventh Time.
All of the Top Stars in Country Music will be here 8 p.m. on April 5, 2009, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
George Strait will also be honored as the “Performer of the Decade”, a top Honour for the Best and Highest Rated Country Artist of the Past Ten Years, at the same location on April 6, 2009. This marks the first time the Artist of the Decade Award will be delivered during its own, unique event.
Besides Strait, Only four other acts have been honored as Artist of the Decade in the Academy’s history, including Marty Robbins (1969), Loretta Lynn (1979), Alabama (1988) and Garth Brooks (1998), This has to be considered One of the Most Sought after awards in Country Music.
