Top Country Songs

Country music is actually a combination of various styles of music from the mountain of the Appalachians across the Midwest and to the coast of California as well as the entity value of Texas and into the mountains of Canada. Most country singers represent one of the various country music styles. It can include the twang of cowboys, or it could be a version of the melancholy yet heartfelt songs of the bluegrass area. But very few country music stars can combine all of these.

Sierra Hull is one of these voices. When you listen to her latest video of the song Someone Like You, you really need to close your eyes the second time you watch it and just listen if you have not already heard the song on the radio. Make yourself less visual and just let your ears immerse themselves in the soft gentle notes that come from Sierra. Some say she reminds them of Alison Krauss, but this would be unfair for the young singer, yet the comparison is fair.

If you pay attention, you’ll notice the bluegrass sounds emanating from her. Then again you will hear a little bit of a Texan sound coming from her. You might even say that there is a little bit of Patsy Cline in her vocals. Yet amazingly Sierra’s voice is completely Sierra. It has a distinguishable characteristic that combines many of the attributes of country music as well as a few of the legends that have gone before and she creates a haunting melody that irresistibly draws you in.

This is one voice that you will be hearing for quite a while on the country music scene. In truth, Sierra Hull is little bit old style mixed in with extremely heartfelt words while incorporating many of the traditional aspects of country music.

Just like the lyrics say in Jake Owen‘s latest song – Barefoot Blue Jean Night, the singer wants to stay young forever and enjoy the barefoot in blue jean nights.

He just released his latest of the same name of his current single, and the timing could not be better since it has already claimed the top spot on the Billboard Country Albums Chart.

The 2009 ACM Top New Male Vocalist winner knows how to write some great music, and as the tracks from the latest release continue to sent to the radio stations for airplay, there will probably be some more hits.

Jake Owen actually called some of people who purchased his album. This would be a treat for anyone who bought the Barefoot Blue Jean Night album.

Anyone who has been a fan of Dierks Bentley is not surprised that he has another top country song. Whenever he seems to be missing from the the top 20 country song chart you know that he will be recording a new album soon and producing some more great country music.

The latest #1 single from the singer/songwriter is “Am I The Only One“. This is the first track to be released from his current album – Diamonds. His last album – Up On The Ridge did not produce any top country songs, it looks like his current collection of songs will be making up for it. You can expect more singles to released and if country fans like them as much as – Am I The Only One, then you will see more chart toppers from Dierks Bentley.

Bentley is married to Cassidy Black. They live in Nashville, Tennessee, with their dogs Jake (who has appeared in a few of Dierks’ videos) and George. The couple welcomed their first child, Evelyn Day Bentley (nicknamed “Evie”), on October 4, 2008. Their second daughter, Jordan Catherine Bentley, was born December 25, 2010.

Whenever you see him live, Dierks Bentley has plenty of top country songs to choose from and he knows what his fans want to hear. He is currently finishing up his tour across the Midwest and South that ends October 29th in Houston.

Fun songs always stick with us. We find ourselves singing or humming them throughout the entire day. The more it sticks with us, the more we want it. Shows what a good song it really is. Craig Campbell has such a song in his latest release entitled Fish.

When you first start listening to this song, you begin to wonder if you need to cover up ears of any young children around you. You think that Craig is going to talk about his rendezvous with his girlfriend, but instead find out that he might have intended that when she had other plans. She just wanted to fish.

This actually could become the theme song for all fishermen who are looking for a woman who loves to fish as much as they do or even more. Campbell talks about how his girlfriend wants the fish day and night and would rather do that than anything else. At first you might think that he is disgruntled, but as the song progresses you find out that he’s very happy that his girlfriend enjoys fishing as much as he does and that they can spend the time together on the water.

This is a fun song and the video is just as fun as you watch his girlfriend catching fish after fish including a few monsters. By the time he catches one it turns out to be an old boot. Not only does she love fishing, she’s a whole lot better at it than he is.

Craig Campbell has a keeper in this song as it is fun, catchy, and just downright funny. This is the second single to be released from his current album – Craig Campbell. Fish has much top country song potential as the first release – Family Man , but only ony time will tell if he has caught the trophy Fish with his latest single.

The Indiana State Fair had their main performance stage collapse right before Sugarland was scheduled to perform.

Right before the the stage fell fans were warned that a storm was on the way, but eye witnesses report that the rain and wind came in fast and fans did not gat a chance to hide for cover.

In the video you can see the people are starting to get away from the stage, but the winds came in very fast right before the stage collapsed.

Sugarland has tweeted that their prayers are with all the fans that were injured.

the band and its entourage have taken a few days off to gather themselves after the weather-related accident, which killed five people and injured dozens of others. Thursday night, they resumed their Incredible Machine tour in Albuquerque, New Mexico–and, as expected, had some solemn words for their audience. .

After taking the stage surrounded by their entire crew, Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles briefly recounted the details of the tragedy, then asked the crowd to stand a moment of silence for the wounded “and those beautiful lives that were lost.”

A complete hush fell over the room for several seconds, then Kristian Bush launched into the guitar chords of Sugarland’s “Love.”

Sugarland has been taking all of the right steps since the tragic incident and have been visibly affected emotionally. They plan on having a private service for all of the affected families and hopefully this can help to start the healing process.
