2009 Country Music Awards Show

What many country music fans consider to be the highlight of all of the award shows is finally here. On Wednesday November 11th the 2009 CMA Awards show will air on ABC Television and the best that country music can offer will be there.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will be the Master of Ceremonies for the event, and of course they will both be performing. All of the top selling acts from this year will also be singing, and this includes Taylor Swift, Sugarland, Darius Rucker, Kenny Chesney and George Strait.

There will be other performances scheduled for the show and the CMA website has at least 20 live acts scheduled to sing, and they may add more, but to pull off that many songs will be a hard juggling act to pull off, and of course there will be the actual awards to present to the winners.

The CMA website has a cool interactive page where you can pick who you think will win each category, and then can send an email to your friends with your picks.

Last year Kenney Chesney won Entertainer Of The Year, but it may be tough to repeat for the country songwriter as he goes against teen sensation Taylor Swift, but you will have to watch to find out.
