Things are going well for the top Country Songwriter Keith Urban, and he is now on tour with a supporting cast that includes – Taylor Swift, before the top country song performer heads out on her first tour as a headliner. Lady Antebellum has broken into the Country Top 20 Songs again with their current single – I Run To You, and the band is part of the monster – Sun City Carnival tour with Kenney Chesney and Miranda Lambert that kicked off this weekend in Las Vegas.

There is a debate among country fans whether the band that formed in Nashville is actually pure country, But the way country fans have supported the band thru ticket sales and album purchases, should help sway the vote of non-supporters into believing that most country music fans believe that in fact – Lady Antebellum is country, and as long as they continue to produce top country song hits, the record companies will also look at them as country artists.

When a new band forms, it usually takes a few years for all of the right pieces to come together, and even then you need quite a bit of luck before you can expect to make the top country song charts.

For Gloriana all of the stars and planets have come into alignment early on for the newly formed band. The foursome already have a top 40 country song hit – Wild At Heart, and they will be the opening act for the top album selling performer in all of music last year – Taylor Swift.

The History of Gloriana is short, but the band is blessed with some very talented members. Brothers Tom Gossin and Mike Gossin have been performing together for years in and around North Carolina, and met vocalist Rachel Reinart after seeing the artist on her MySpace page, and finally added the talented Mandolinist and vocalist Cheyenne Kimball , whom they met in Nashville, she is also is known for winning the first prize as Grand Champion on the television talent show America’s Most Talented Kid in 2003.

Some people say luck is the residue of hard work, and Gloriana has done a lot of the required practice and training to get to this level. It seems all of the critics and fans are enjoying the band, and more good things should be ahead for the talented foursome, only time will tell…….

Country songwriters Rascal Flatts have jumped to the #1 position on the Country Top 20 chart with the hit single – Here Comes Goodbye. The top country song artists also have the honor of having the #1 Album – Unstoppable – in all of music, and in second place is Miley Cyrus with the Hannah Montana movie soundtrack.

Rascal Flatts has a long tour ahead of them this summer, and their opening act Jessica Simpson, has left her Nashville label, and whether she continues to record country music or not is yet to be seen, but this has put Rascal Flatts in an awkward position. The band has publicly stated that they still plan on using Jessica as the opening act on the Unstoppable tour, and that they support her fully on what ever decision she makes.

Things are going well these days for singer Jennifer Nettles and guitarist Kristian Bush, after their performance on the ACM Awards last week, and the Oprah show this week, the band has been nominated for the Duo of the Year, and for Video of the Year by Country Music Television for their award show scheduled for June 17.

Sugarland has a long Summer ahead of touring that includes joining Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban as supporting acts for their concerts, and getting fans to buy tickets should not be a problem for the band from Georgia, as it seems that whenever they release a new song it makes it into the Country Top 20, like the current hit single – It Happen’s.

Jennifer Nettles was just listed on People’s magazine best dressed list, and was part of a posing party after the ACM show with the rest of the artist, and is really making a name for herself in the Entertainment Industry.
