George Strait Knows That Love’s Gonna Make It Alright
George Strait just knows how to give his fans what they want and Love’s Gonna Make It Alright is another hit for the King of Country. Born in 1952, George Strait is a Texas born native who had his first hit, Unwound in 1981. Famed for his Western swing style of music, he has sold tens of millions of albums and he is currently one of the top twelve best selling recording artists in America.
Love’s Gonna Make it Alright is a love song which reminds the lady of his life that love conquers all. Every problem one can imagine is made bearable when your lover is there to show they care. It’s the first release from his latest album entitled, “Here for a Good Time”.
This country ballad has an upbeat tempo and with that well known George Strait touch it gets your feet moving in rhythm with the song. Written by Al Anderson and Chris Stapleton, the writers for songs sung by Lee Ann Womack, Deana Carter, Chris LeDoux, Jason Sellers and many others.
George Strait’s rendition of this song is somewhat reminiscent of another one of his hits, “Check Yes or No”. It has great lyrics and the lyrics are set to a very nice tune. It’s easy to sing along and it’s finger snapping good. It’s the type of song that will get a nice country bar jumpin’.
Listen to top 20 country hit on your way to work or when driving home after work and feel your spirits lift just imagining that your love is as therapeutic as the love George sings about in “Love’s Gonna Make it Alright”.
The King of Country still is a big fan of being a cowboy, riding horses and roping. He started an event in the San Antonio area that is considered the Super Bowl of Roping. You can check out a story about it from the local TV station.
The Five Best Covers Of Dolly Parton’s Jolene
Dolly Parton is one of the best known country singers, male or female across the world, and everyone knows her top country song – Jolene. The single from the album of the same name (Jolene) was the #1 song on the country billboard charts on Feburary 2nd, 1974.
In a quote from the Wikepedia.org page about the song……..
Parton has said that the inspiration for the story was a tall, red-headed bank teller who Parton believed was flirting with her husband, and her husband’s apparent vulnerability to the teller’s charm as indicated by his sudden interest in making frequent trips to the bank. In her live performances of the song, Dolly often states she fought this woman tooth and nail for her husband. The name “Jolene” came from a beautiful little red-headed girl with green eyes who sought her autograph at a concert.
“ I said, what is your name? And she said, Jolene. And I said, well, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene. I said, that is pretty, I said, that sounds like a song. I’m going to write a song about that. ”
So I guess the story is don’t mess with Dolly or she will write a song about you. She celebrated her 45th wedding anniversary on May 30th, 2011 to Carl Thomas Dean and has said how proud she is to still be married to her first and only husband.
When a song gets covered by as many artists as Jolene has, then you know that it has found some type of common ground among singers and songwriters that they enjoy and want to in some small way pay respect to Dolly Parton.
In 2008 there was a movie that used the song as the inspiration for script. The movie Jolene was not released nationally until October of 2010. The movie trailer pretty much shows the whole plot.
Here are the lyrics for JoleneJolene, jolene, jolene, jolene He talks about you in his sleep And I can easily understand Jolene, jolene, jolene, jolene You could have your choice of men I had to have this talk with you Jolene, jolene, jolene, jolene |
Here is the list of the five best covers of Jolene. Go ahead and leave some comments on how you feel about the selections.

Ronnie Dunn Returns After The Last Rodeo
Country fans were a little saddened when the vocal duo Brooks & Dunn announced their breakup, and after the Last Rodeo tour ended it was not immediately known what Ronnie Dunn would be up to.
With the release of Bleed Red Ronnie Dunn has shown that he will continue on without his sidekick of 20 years Kix Brooks. The lyrics of the song seem to want to explain why the popular twosome brokeup even if that is not what was intended.
Bleed Red Lyrics From Ronnie Dunn
Let’s say were sorry ‘fore it’s too late
Give forgiveness a chance
Turn the anger into water
Let it slip through our handsWe all bleed red, we all taste rain
All fall down, lose our way
We all say words, we regret
We all cry tears, we all bleed redIf we’re fighting, we’re both losing
We’re just wasting our time
Because my scars, they are your scars
And your world is mineYou and I
We all bleed red, we all taste rain
All fall down, lose our way
We all say words, we regret
We all cry tears, all bleed redSometimes we’re strong, sometimes we’re weak
Sometimes we’re hurt, and it cuts deep
We live this life, breath to breath
We’re all the same, we all bleed redLet’s say were sorry
‘fore it’s too lateWe all bleed red, all taste rain
All fall down, lose our way
We all say words, we regret
We all cry tears, all bleed redSometimes we’re strong, sometimes we’re weak
Sometimes we’re hurt, and it cuts deep
We live this life, breath to breath
We’re all the same, we all bleed red

Montgomery Gentry – There’s One In Every Crowd
Every once in a while there is a song that is destined for the top country song charts even though the band did not put in the normal public relations work. There’s One In Every Crowd has hit a nerve with the fun loving crowd, and Montgomery Gentry has not even released an official video for the top twenty country song, sometimes things happen for a reason, and maybe by not trying to over expose the hit song, the band has let There’s One In Every Crowd gain it’s own fame thru their fans – not a bad idea.
Golden Tee, shuffleboard, pinball, he’s got the score
that everybody around here’s tryin to beat,
he’s a six pack up when he walks in,
tells the band crank it up to 10,
then he’s up dancin on his seat,
well he’s a big mouth, yellin’ hey play some free bird,
says give me three steps and nobody gets hurt,
then he takes off his shirt
There’s one in every crowd,
brings the party in us out,
good time charley with a harley, whiskey bent and hellbound,
he’s got the next round, but he always drinks for free,
there’s one in every crowd, and it’s usually me,
hey ya’ll, hey ya’ll, hey ya’ll, there’s one in every crowd
Got a fliptop box of marlboros,
he’ll bum a light and steal your girl,
then laugh at you for gettin’ all upset, well everybody here knows his name,
makes everybody else look sane,
when he’s out, as far as you can get,
in his mind he’s a rock star, crankin’ out that air guitar,
til the bartender says fool, get off my bar
There’s one in every crowd,
that brings the party in us out,
good time charley with a harley, whiskey bent and hellbound,
he’s got the next round, but he always drinks for free,
there’s one in every crowd, and it’s usually me,
hey ya’ll, hey ya’ll, hey ya’ll, there’s one in every crowd
He’s a hard drinkin man’s man,
and women love him when they can,
he’s a bartender’s best friend,
it ain’t a party till he walks in
There’s one in every crowd,
that brings the party in us out,
good time charley with a harley, whiskey bent and hellbound,
he’s got the next round, but he always drinks for free,
there’s one in every crowd, and it’s usually me,
hey ya’ll, hey ya’ll, hey ya’ll, there’s one in every crowd
It’s usually me, hey ya’ll, hey ya’ll, hey ya’ll, there’s one in every crowd, that’s right
Jason Aldean Climbing The Charts
Jason Aldean has been performing since a teenager, and was reported to have actually been ready to give up his dream and head home to be with his wife after spending time in Nashville to find a recording contract, lucky for Jason he stayed around long enough to be signed by Broken Bow Records.
With his successful first album from 2005 named “Jason Aldean“, And a run of three top 40 country songs that included – “Hicktown”, “Amarillo Sky” and his first No. 1 song “Why”, Jason followed that up with the over million selling album “Relentess”, and once again had three more top 40 country songs with “Relentless”, “Johnny Cash” and the very popular “Laughed Until We Cried”.
It is no surprise that his current album “Wide Open” has started to produce some top country songs like “She’s Country” which that has just broken into the Top 20 Country Songs, and shows his country rock roots influence from growing up in Georgia and Florida from classic rockers like Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers. Jason Aldean has made a spot for himself in Country music for the future and is currently on tour, and here is a list from the Jason Aldean Website with the dates and cities.
Here’s the video and lyrics of the hit song She’s Country……………..
You boys ever met a real country girl?
Talkin, true blue, out in the woods,
down home, country girl
She’s a hot little number in her pick-up truck
Daddy’s sweet money done jacked it up
She’s a party-all-nighter from South Carolina,
a bad mamajama from down in Alabama
She’s a ragin’ cajun, a lunatic from Brunswick,
juicy Georgia peach
With a thick southern drawl, sexy swing and walk,
brother she’s all…………
Country, (shoot) from her cowboy boots to her down home roots
She’s country, from the songs she plays to the prayers she prays,
That’s the way she was born and raised, she ain’t afraid to stay, country
Brother she’s country
A hell raisin’ sugar when the sun goes down, mama taught her how to rip up a town
Honey dripping honey from the hollerin Kentucky,
getcha flippin kinda trippie like a Mississippi hippie,
She’s a Kansas princess, crazy mother trucker, undercover lover
Thick southern drawl, sexy swing and walk,
Brother she’s all………..
Country (shoot) from her cowboy boots to her down home roots
She’s country, from the songs she plays to the prayers she prays,
That’s the way she was born and raised, she ain’t afraid to stay, country
Nothin but country
(thick southern drawl)
(sexy swing and walk)
(aw show ‘em how a country girl does it one time now)
Brother she’s country, from her cowboy boots to her down home roots
Nothin but country
Yea yea yea
She’s country (shoot) from her cowboy boots to her down home roots
She’s country, from the songs she plays to the prayers she prays,
That’s the way she was born and raised she ain’t afraid to stay, country
Yea she’s nothing but country
She’s all about the country
From the backwoods she’s a homegrown, down to the bone, she’s country
Country music is three chords and the truth. ~ Harlan Howard
