Garth Brooks is back performing concerts on a set schedule, and of course tickets for his shows are selling out as fast as they are being released by the Wynn Resorts in Las Vegas.

When he retired in 2001 to go back to his Oklahoma home and help raise his three daughters with his current wife Trisha Yearwood many thought that the all time record seller had ended his career to soon and would be back.

Garth has stayed busy and actually has performed for charitable causes when asked to. The country music superstar actually performed for Barack Obama and his family at his presidential inaguration.

He is going to be performing weekends once or twice a month, and at his first shows this past weekend at the Encore Theatre he was alone with his acoustic guitar and not much else.

The country songwriter said that the concerts would be a work in progress, and the style and size of the shows would be changing, and in true Las Vegas fashion you will probably be seeing some of his friends stop by and see more glitz and glamour as the concerts evolve from the current one man – one instrument performances.

After all of the success of Taylor Swift this year, we thought we should give you a chance to vote for your favorite Female Country Singer of 2009. There are a lot of choices, but it came down to these women.

You can choose any two of your favorite performers since after much consideration it became obvious that many will choose Taylor, and we want this poll to be more than a one-sided decision.

Jennifer Nettles had a great year with Sugarland, Carrie Underwood had another #1 song with Cowboy Casanova. Reba has a strong following, Miranda had another hit this year, and Leann Rimes had a somewhat controversial year, but also has her own loyal following and could not be left out.
